During the summer months this year, the girls enjoyed ice-bites! On Tuesday we handed the money collected from the sale of ice-bites to Vanessa Vermaak from CHOC (Childhood Cancer Foundation of South Africa). The money will be used to buy children with cancer clothes, food and medicine. Miss Vermaak handed over a certificate of appreciation and the Pre-Prep girls sang a song.

There was much excitement in the nursery classes as we voted on 31 May. The girls were voting for the colour they liked the best on the South African flag. The winning colour is to be worn to school on Friday. The Busy Bees and Bouncing Bunnies were briefed on the voting process and then allowed into our voting booth one at a time. After voting they needed to get a mark on their thumb and a stamp to make their vote valid. We then went on to tally the votes in a graph. The winning colour in both classes was red.
