Grade 4 at Rockland’s Camp

On Thursday 30 October the Grade 4 girls went to Rocklands Camp near Simonstown for an overnight camp. These are some of the things they had to say about it:

"I had the best time ever. The museum was so interesting and the boat ride was fun. I had such a great time at the beach, making the sandcastles. It was so exciting to see our cabins. Everybody was waiting to see them. When my group got to our cabin we all screamed with excitement. It was sad to leave because we all loved camp and wanted to stay longer." (Alex Lorenz)

"I liked the responsibility of having to lock up the cabins. I loved doing the hike around Simonstown at night it; was seriously scary when the wind howled. We were all eating Fritos when Mrs Heidmann came in so we had to quickly shove them under our sleeping bags. It was a miracle that the teachers did not see our tuck boxes under our beds. Jean had a sleeping bag that was meant for Mount Everest, (in the end she slept naked), and when we woke up there were mysteriously quite a few feathers and Fritos lying all around the place. P.S. The camp was my best and my first camp ever." (Kirsty Pettit)

"I also enjoyed the food. It was like we were in a movie because we were all sitting at tables like they do In "High School Musical"! (Jessica Gleeson)
