Grade 6 Outing to the Planetarium
Other News
On Monday the 11th of August the Grade 6 classes went on an outing to the Iziko Planetarium. In the Planetarium we enjoyed an amazing talk on the Universe and our galaxy. Lying back in our chairs we watched the stars glowing above us and felt like we were actually in Space. We saw lots of different things; giant red stars, white dwarf stars and different star constellations such as the Southern Cross and Orion's Belt. We also learned about how hot the sun can get and many other interesting facts. After the talk we had a break outside in the gardens. Our outing ended with a short walk around the Museum looking at sea life, mammals and birds. We had a lovely time at the Planetarium and certainly learnt a lot.
