Seirin Wi (15), who won the Junior section of the prestigious Johan Vos competition last year, has gone through to the final stages of the Artscape National Youth Music Competition.  This competition is open to young musicians between the ages of 14 and 19. Auditions took part in all major centers in South Africa during April and only 30 participants are chosen for the competition.  Emma Luiyendijk, who matriculated from Herschel last year and is now studying music, is also in the final 30.
