“I am an Old Herschelian”, said Mr Raymond Ackerman, entrepreneur extraordinaire and the power behind Pick 'n Pay. Mr Ackerman attended Herschel Nursery School as a pre-school boy and his daughter Suzanne (left) matriculated from Herschel. His granddaughter, Nikita Montlake (right), is currently in Grade 12 at the school. He visited the campus last week as the guest of honour at the launch of Herschel Girls School’s Enrichment Week.
