Old Herschelian, Sarah Oliver, is one of 4 young South Africans selected to attend the President’s Award’s International Gold Event in Kenya.  Before flying off to Kenya where they will also participate in service projects at township and rural schools, Sarah Oliver took time this week to address girls at her alma mater, Herschel Girls School. She spoke with passion and insight about her volunteer work at Maher, a home for women and children in India. Sarah, who is spending her gap year doing volunteer work, is involved in several organizations dedicated to creating peaceful and compassionate societies through education and self-development.
