Curriculum - Foundation Phase
The Foundation Phase introduces pupils from the age of six to a
three-year integrated learning process of acquiring the competency
skills of Reading, Writing and Numeracy. The National Curriculum Statement
is followed throughout the Foundation Phase.
A challenging curriculum is presented to meet the needs of pupils, enabling them to develop concepts, skills, attitudes and values needed for future independent learning. An introduction to various aspects of technology, computer literacy and entrepreneurship all ensure that a sound foundation is laid.
All this is achieved in a warm and caring environment where pupils work together in groups with their teacher, developing confidence and being encouraged to accept responsibility.
