Diyara represents South Africa at the 2017 International Mathematics Competition

We are so proud of Diyara Govender who participated in the 2017 International Mathematics Competition held in India recently. She was part of the Cape Town team, representing South Africa in both individual and team competitions. The team did incredibly well, winning 2 trophies for most impressive team and best cultural act.

Diyara and the team also received a bronze medal for being placed 3rd in the overall competition and she received a certificate for advancing into the bonus and final round of the individual puzzle competition. They all had an amazing and unforgettable experience interacting and competing against approximately 1 000 pupils from 41 countries.

School Song

We are assembled here in love,
We are united, we care for one another.
The greatest lesson of all is the one
That teaches us to live together, together.

Refrain:
Everyone’s a spark and in the night
Together we make a light, a fire burning bright
Ad Dei Gloriam; Inkosi mayibongwe:
To the glory of our God: this is what we believe.

In times of trouble we support
Our fellows; we are taught to be there for our friends.
And all around us, there will be
That special unity, that binds us all together.

If we come back after many years,
We will think fondly of the things that we remember,
And the friends that we made then,
These will be friends forever, forever.
