In their technology class this year, our girls have been busy making clothing and toys for babies which get donated to The Zoe Project. In collaboration with this, the Grade 9E class decided to run a collection where they collected toiletries for mom and baby, nappies, sanitary pads, etc. Nina Lewis, using her own initiative, also produced three large shopping bags of sewn goods to give to the Zoe Project.
Nina Lewis and Emma Theron accompanied Technology teacher Mrs Margot Roebert yesterday for the handover. This was held in conjunction with other organisations such as Rotary Rondebosch and Breadline Africa, who donated and converted three containers for The Zoe Project to further their work of counselling and support; they plan to run antenatal classes, offer drug support, support for new moms, and so much more in these three beautifully refurbished containers.
What a great initiative…well done girls!
