JAGGER DOMINATES AT INTERHOUSE DANCE COMP!

Our Senior School Interhouse Dance competition took place this week, and it was a true celebration of dance! Along with offering a creative platform for some healthy competition, it was a chance for the girls to share their incredible talents and to support and appreciate one another’s work! The girls choreographed, rehearsed and lit their own numbers in response to the theme “I See You”, and performed in a variety of dance styles such as Indian, Spanish, Irish, Ballet, Hip Hop and Modern.

The girls danced across four categories and the winners of those were:

Junior Category – Rolt
Solo Category – Jagger
Senior Group – Jagger
Mixed Age Group – Carter

The standard was sky high across the board and only one point separated first- and second-place overall winners, but Jagger ultimately came out on top!

Well done to Jagger, and congrats to Jade Foster who won the best programme cover design!

School Song

We are assembled here in love,
We are united, we care for one another.
The greatest lesson of all is the one
That teaches us to live together, together.

Refrain:
Everyone’s a spark and in the night
Together we make a light, a fire burning bright
Ad Dei Gloriam; Inkosi mayibongwe:
To the glory of our God: this is what we believe.

In times of trouble we support
Our fellows; we are taught to be there for our friends.
And all around us, there will be
That special unity, that binds us all together.

If we come back after many years,
We will think fondly of the things that we remember,
And the friends that we made then,
These will be friends forever, forever.
