Hockey teams in action!

Our U16 and 1st hockey teams were in action this long weekend. Our U16 hockey girls took part in the tough Paarl Top Schools Tournament, and came away having learnt a lot from this worthwhile experience. In Bloemfontein, our 1st team was in action at the FNB Private Wealth Super 12 Hockey Tournament, hosted by Oranje Meisieskool. After some closely contested games, we placed 3rd overall. In addition, 9 girls were nominated for Player of the Tournament – these nominations included our very own Kayla de Waal and Angie Welham. Kayla was also awarded the prize for Best Player of the Tournament, and was the 3rd highest goal scorer of the tournament. Congratulations to all the girls and coaches!

School Song

We are assembled here in love,
We are united, we care for one another.
The greatest lesson of all is the one
That teaches us to live together, together.

Refrain:
Everyone’s a spark and in the night
Together we make a light, a fire burning bright
Ad Dei Gloriam; Inkosi mayibongwe:
To the glory of our God: this is what we believe.

In times of trouble we support
Our fellows; we are taught to be there for our friends.
And all around us, there will be
That special unity, that binds us all together.

If we come back after many years,
We will think fondly of the things that we remember,
And the friends that we made then,
These will be friends forever, forever.
